“ Our first time here. Very nice and quiet. Staff was very nice. Simple but good. ”
“ Great little sandwich shop. Staff was great loved the feel and look of the place was like stepping back in time. Ordered the Cowbell fresh Prime rib, horses radish, and Au jus on a fresh roll. Definitely recommend. Take time to look at the decor while waiting for your food you could probably see something you missed each time. I also had the special sausage sandwich which was also great. ”
“ Hardware Cafe is a great addition to Warrenton! It has a unique, industrial vibe that's both modern and unique. The staff was super friendly and attentive, even though they were busy. Lunch is our favorite meal to get here, and their menu specials change from week to week which makes each experience fresh and interesting! Because they are often so busy it would likely be a bit too loud to try and do computer work/paperwork in the space but it's a great place to catch-up with friends or grab a quick bite while heading through town! Overall, we highly recommend Hardware Cafe if you're looking for a tasty and fun lunch time dining experience in Warrenton. We will definitely be back! ”
“ A true gem in Warrenton! You're greeted as soon as you step inside and are made to feel like family. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. You can tell they love their town and the town loves them so if you're going on one of their "specials" nights you might want to get there early to grab a table. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable and you'll feel right at home. ”
“ All the charm of a small town, but an incredible menu that rivals big city sandwich shops. I think it's really great that this century old hardware store was converted into this incredible restaurant. I really like that all of the dishes are named after hardware tools. To top off the ambiance here, they had the Andy Griffith show on a constant stream on the TV at lunch. On the old hardware shelves they have a lot of local products for sale, including coffees and teas. They have new specials every day and specials on Friday and Saturdays. Great homemade food. Better than moms. Try their homemade desserts...you will thank me. They have a really good Reuben that they call the Hammer, and a pastrami sandwich, that will make you want more, they call the Lure. Great service to boot. I will definitely be back to work my way through the tool chest of sandwiches. ”
“ Well done sandwich perfection all around. Service great, worst thing is the selection. I live an hour away and want to try literally EVERYTHING! These people have a heart for their food and treated me wonderful. This is the kind of place where you can, and ABSOLUTELY SHOULD, talk to the next table. I made friends, you may too! Over absolutely beautifully crafted sandwiches ”
“ Great assortment of sandwiches for lunch. Also, pies and cakes for dessert. I like Ladder sandwich the best. Great staff. Cool location in a 100 year old Hardware Store building. Be sure to eat at Hardware Cafe whenever you're in town. ”
“ While looking for breakfast stops via google maps on our travel, we came across this gem in Warrenton ,NC. We ordered the Prime Rib w/ Egg and Cheese on white toast and one on a Bagel. Everything was prepared to perfection & the bagel was so fresh. For my sweet tooth I picked up the chocolate chess pie and let me tell you — It was delicious :) The atmosphere was welcoming & the staff are awesome. ”
